I have never used a "Professional Pet Sitter". What exactly do you
do?
Frisky Felines & Friends is part of a rapidly growing
industry dedicated to providing quality, reliable care for pets while their owners are away.
We care for a variety of types of pets where they are typically most comfortable:
in their own home environment, following their own daily routine and traditions.
We feed, exercise, play with, clean up after, and care for your pets everyday
while you are away. In addition you have the added benefit of daily home visits,
during which we typically bring in your mail and your newspaper, water your
plants, and alternate your lights and window coverings to enhance your home's
security. We diligently document in writing all of your pets activities in detail,
and leave you a copy for your review upon your return. But most importantly,
we give you peace of mind so that you can travel without worrying about your
precious pets.
Why should I use your services, when I might get a friend, neighbor, or family
member to do it?
It is great to have a friend, neighbor, or family member willing to help you
while you are away. However, we are Bonded, Insured, trained in handling Pet
First Aide emergencies, CPR certified, and have solid references from satisfied
clients. We also know how difficult it is to impose on someone to take on such
an important responsibility - and, now you don't have to.
What kinds of animals do you care for?
We care for a wide variety of domestic companion animals, including: dogs, cats,
rabbits, birds, chinchillas, iguanas, "pocket pets," and many others.
We do not care for horses or livestock, nor do we care for any animals that
are not legally permissible for domestication. It is also against our policy
to care for aggressive animals.
What areas do you serve?
- All of Washington DC
- Adams Morgan, Brookland, Capital Hill, Chevy Chase, Chinatown,
Cleveland Park, Columbia Heights, Dupont Circle, Friendship Heights,
Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, South West Water Front,
TenleyTown, Van Ness, Woodley Park
Do you offer overnight stays?
Yes, we provide overnight stays to clients with pets who cannot or should not
stay at home alone overnight. Many pets prefer to have another warm body in
the house at night, and many clients feel more secure with the additional level
of security that an overnight stay offers.
Do you offer boarding?
Sorry, we do not. However we have established relationships with quality area
veterinarians and kennels and would be happy to refer you to one near you. Please
contact us for more information.
How much does it cost?
The cost varies depending upon how many pets you have, the kinds of animals
they are, how many visits are required within a 24-hour period, and the length
of your absence. After you have learned more about our services here on our
Web site, feel free to contact us so that we can learn more about you
and your pets. Once we have an understanding of your needs, we will be in a better position
to provide you with an estimate.
